Wire Management

Hi everyone,

I’m starting to assemble the actuator modules and I’m having some trouble managing the wires in the hip module. Is there any documentation for the best practices on how to manage the upper leg module wires that go through the hip module? Or does anyone have any advice from past experiences? Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Julian,

My team and I are building the Solo8 8DoF v2. Unfortunately, I don’t have pictures right now but my main concern is how to get the encoder and motor wires from the upper leg module, around the pulleys and motor in the hip module. How did you do it if you don’t mind me asking?

see the picture enclosed. This is from the official documentation. Note the two arrows. Basically, the wires for the hip and knee module go out at two different positions. The wires for the knee module go through the output pulley directly (arrow on the right in the picture).
