Took a few months, but finally have this completed (mostly).
Was so excited I assembled the bed without the encoders (the found four on eBay but I need to remove the soldered ribbon cables from them.)
Also modeled a jig to ‘easily’ file the rods onto motor shafts. Just bought some files from a local Harbor Freight:
