Capabilities of the Quadruped Robot 8dof v2

Is the 8dof variant capable of running curves and if so what is the turning radius during a slow gate?
If the 8dof variant is incapable of running curves, have you considered doing a 10dof of freedom model where the front or the back legs are actuated with 3dof to save cost but have a (shorter) turning radius?

We haven’t done turning experiments with the 8dof robot.
It would be interesting - I think it should be possible.

No - we haven’t considered using 2dof and 3dof legs on one robot.

Why not? I bet it will be pretty interesting.

We’re a small team and can only work on a limited number of behaviors.
Lately we’ve been mostly focusing on the 12 degree of freedom robot.
The work depends on the research interest of our scientists.
